How long is the aegis defence line

Please read all the quotes from the book. The rules are quite clear. The Aegis Defence Line is of the battlefield debris defence lines type. However it does specify what it is and what rules it uses, and those are the rules for battlefield debris defence lines. Specific rules override general rules. Which is like saying: The general rules for shooting say a model can only fire one weapon. The specific rules for monstrous creatures say that they can fire two weapons.

The monstrous creature is a model and therefore can only fire one weapon because the general rules say that models can only fire one weapon. Does that explain the flaws in your logic? The book specifically describes a distinction between generic battlefield terrain, and fortifications purchased as part of your FoC. The only reason it lists terrain type for the ADL, is that all pieces of terrain must be defined for movement purposes.

There are specific rules for moving over defense lines, so it had to be defined as such. All other fortifications have a Terrain Type that doesn't list a cover save at all in the terrain type section. Does that mean they confer no cover save at all? Of course not. The fortification rules overrule the generic terrain rules, because you're paying for a better wall. EDIT: Also, I'd appreciate if anyone responding in this thread would contain their snarkiness before I cut mine loose, please.

I'm trying to maintain a civil, intelligent conversation here. We can do so without being jerks to one another. Not because I care about their mood but because I know they're just sitting there thinking up ways to get even. The rules for Fortifications on page say: Quote : Terrain Type. This tells you what part of the terrain rules you'll need to refer to when using your fortification.

This can be anything from a line of barricades to a large building. The rules for this appear on page and say: Quote : Defence lines follow all the same rules for barricades and walls Only if you're ignoring the rules for fortifications.

Let me ask you this: If a vehicle is obscured behind an imperial bastion, what cover save do they get? Please log in to reply. Posted 24 October - PM. Just found my Aegis Defense Line while rummaging through terrain storage. It's been quite a while since I last used that one on the table as more than just a neutral terrain piece. So, anyone used the aegis defence line in 8th edition? What about the other fortifications like the wall of martyrs or the imperial bastion?

I played a test list ages ago with Dark Angels Plasma Inceptors starting in a bunker on the line. I was close to using a Skyshield in my 4th detachment but non fly vehichles have to start on ground level If you want to protect dudes, you have access to Valkyries and Chimeras, both of which have a lot of use. I haven't felt the need for the defence line in 8th thanks to not every thing ignoring our armour save and used the points for toys Now Marines have their ap-1 back might be worth revisiting?

Posted 28 October - PM. But Hill said he will soon know a path forward that could potentially make up for lost time. The Aegis Ashore site in Poland was originally expected to be in operation by August , but Defense News reported at the time that a delay would push that date to calendar year due to problems with the contractor hired in Poland to build the site. The Yellow Club formerly known as SoundMind is an online community committed to raising mental health awareness in India.

Our vision is a future where mental health is accessible for one and all. We began the journey down this difficult road by hosting mental health workshops in major South Indian cities like Kochi, Trivandrum, Chennai and Bangalore. The workshop was led by psychiatrist Dr. Sanju George and 40 enthusiastic participants turned up to participate in the activities and discussions. Ever since, we have rapidly boosted our social media presence in a bid to use popular platforms like Instagram and Facebook to spread our message.

We have also been running online mental health workshops and sessions, as well as facilitating one-on-one therapy sessions through video call, with which we hope to make mental health support easily accessible to anyone.

Yellow Club has one core mission — to make mental health accessible for all.
